Inter Blockchain Connection Summit

IBC Summit was designed as an educational event focused on one of the most important infrastructure questions in blockchain today: interoperability. As Ethereum’s rollup-centric roadmap continues to scale execution, cross-chain communication and secure connectivity have become increasingly central. IBC Summit brought that conversation to Istanbul through a one-day program of talks, panels, and technical workshops built around IBC, Ethereum, rollups, and adjacent interoperability technologies.

The event took place at Grand Pera Emek Sahnesi in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, and was structured as a full-day summit with technical sessions and networking. According to the published agenda, the day opened with food and mingling, followed by a welcome from Peter Kim of Polymer Labs, then moved into investor and infrastructure panels, interoperability talks, workshop sessions, and modular infrastructure discussions. Rather than functioning as a general crypto conference, the summit was positioned as a focused learning environment for developers and ecosystem participants interested in secure blockchain communication.

Technical talks at IBC Summit

IBC Summit focused on blockchain interoperability at a protocol level. The agenda centered on subjects such as IBC light clients, IBC on rollups, Ethereum interoperability, proof-based bridging, interoperability between proof- and committee-based systems, and modular blockchain infrastructure. A dedicated workshop session also covered how to deploy a ZK Tendermint light client on Ethereum, giving the event a distinctly technical and builder-oriented character.

The event brought together engineers, researchers, investors, and infrastructure teams working across Ethereum and the broader interoperability stack. The published speaker and panel list includes Peter Kim and Bo Du from Polymer Labs, Aditya Sripal, Serdar Turkmenafsar, and Susannah Evans from Interchain Foundation, Kydo from EigenLayer, Callum Waters from Celestia, Uma Roy from Succinct Labs, Karel Kaiser from Union, Josh Bowen from Astria Labs, Cem Ozer from Sovereign Labs, Vaibhav Chellani from Socket, and investors from Maven 11, Blockchain Capital, LongHash Ventures, and Figment Capital.

node101’s Role

node101’s role in IBC Summit is best framed as part of the local ecosystem layer that helped bring a highly technical interoperability event to Istanbul. The event page explicitly lists node101 among the participating organizations and presents node101 alongside its broader validator, education, events, and tooling work. Based on the public information available, the safest wording is that node101 contributed as an ecosystem partner helping connect the summit to the local builder and blockchain community in Istanbul.
