All Meetups
They create a more informal but still meaningful layer between large conferences and hands-on workshops, giving builders, researchers, students, and ecosystem teams a place to gather regularly, exchange ideas, and stay connected to the latest developments across blockchain.
For node101, meetups are not filler events between bigger productions. They are part of the core ecosystem layer: recurring spaces where new people enter, existing communities deepen, and technical narratives gain local momentum. We design them to feel approachable, socially alive, and intellectually useful at the same time.
ModaPalas Monthly Gatherings
ModaPalas Monthly Gatherings are the recurring heartbeat of the builder ecosystem in Istanbul. Held regularly at ModaPalas since 2022, these gatherings bring together developers, founders, cryptographers, students, and ecosystem participants in a more relaxed but still high-signal environment. Over time, they have become one of the clearest community surfaces for blockchain builders in Istanbul, creating continuity between larger events, workshops, and hackathons. More than ten startups emerged from and were founded through these ModaPalas gatherings, including node101 and Citrea, which have received more than $17 million in investment. ModaPalas startups have collectively raised more than $20 million in investment.
What makes the gatherings meaningful is their consistency and atmosphere. They are designed as recurring community touchpoints where conversations can continue beyond formal programming and where new teams and collaborations can emerge naturally. node101 helped shape these gatherings as a long-term community format rather than a one-off social event, using ModaPalas as a place where builder culture could mature over time.
Celestia Modular Meetup Istanbul Series
The Celestia Modular Meetup Istanbul Series was created to make modular blockchain thinking more local, more discussable, and easier to follow over time. Instead of relying on one large event, the series built continuity through recurring meetups that focused on Celestia, modularity, ecosystem updates, and technical discussion in Istanbul. Four editions have been held publicly, showing that the series was designed as an ongoing community format rather than a single activation. The meetups combined short talks, ecosystem updates, and networking into a repeatable structure.
Mina Palas
Mina Palas was a community meetup built around Mina developers and the wider zero-knowledge ecosystem. It created a more focused gathering surface for people interested in Mina, zkApps, and ecosystem progress, while keeping the tone intimate and community-first rather than conference-like. That smaller scale was part of its strength. Mina Palas gave the local community a chance to gather around a specific ecosystem, celebrate progress, and stay connected through conversation rather than only formal programming. As a strategic partner of o1Labs and Mina Foundation, node101 designed the event flow to make Mina feel present inside Istanbul’s builder culture and to give local developers a direct community touchpoint around the ecosystem.
Sui Palas
Sui Palas was a meetup designed to bring the Sui ecosystem into direct contact with the local builder community. It gathered Turkish Sui builders together with ecosystem representatives in a setting that felt more personal and immediate than a larger summit, helping the community form stronger direct ties around the technology.
Its role was both social and strategic. The meetup helped make Sui more tangible for local developers while reinforcing the idea that ecosystem growth depends on recurring physical touchpoints, not just online content. node101 shaped the process as part of a broader local ecosystem strategy, using community gatherings like Sui Palas to turn protocol awareness into actual participation.
Fuel Meetup
Fuel Meetup brought the Fuel ecosystem into the local builder conversation through a dedicated community gathering in Istanbul. Like the other ecosystem-specific meetups, it gave developers a focused space to hear about a new stack, meet other interested builders, and place the protocol inside the wider rhythm of the Turkish blockchain scene. The value of the meetup came from making a specialized ecosystem feel locally reachable.
ODHack Istanbul
ODHack Istanbul was a community workshop and open-source meetup organized at ModaPalas to introduce Turkish developers to the OnlyDust ecosystem. The event was designed as a hands-on entry point for builders who wanted to explore open-source contribution opportunities, connect with global contributors, and better understand how local projects could grow through a wider collaborative network.
Held on February 21, 2025, at ModaPalas, the event ran from 18:00 to 23:00 and was designed as a compact but high-energy builder session for around 30 participants. With food, drinks, and direct participation from the OnlyDust side, the meetup created a practical onboarding surface for local developers, and node101 shaped the full local experience from venue and flow to the community-facing structure that made the workshop feel approachable and useful.
Sui Iftars
Sui Iftar was a community gathering that brought the Sui ecosystem into a more local, social, and culturally grounded format. Instead of placing the community around a stage, the event brought people together around an iftar table and created a more natural environment for conversation, relationship building, and ecosystem discovery. It gave the Sui community in Türkiye a format that felt familiar, warm, and highly participatory.
That format was exactly what made the event valuable. It replaced distance with closeness and turned protocol awareness into real community contact through a slower, more human event flow. node101 designed the gathering intentionally around participation and atmosphere, using a culturally resonant setting to make the ecosystem feel more reachable and to strengthen the social side of local builder culture.
