Celestia Game Night Istanbul
Celestia Game Night Istanbul was one of the most unforgettable gatherings of Devconnect 2023 week. Held in the thousands-of-years-old Binbirdirek Cistern, the event transformed one of Istanbul’s most iconic historical spaces into a living meeting point for the modular blockchain community. More than a standard side event, it brought together hundreds of participants in a setting that felt distinctly local, immersive, and impossible to separate from the city itself. That combination of ecosystem energy and historical atmosphere made it one of the standout experiences of the week.
The event was built as a full social and cultural experience rather than a conventional meetup. From Jenga, backgammon, FIFA, and Mario to dozens of other games spread across the venue, the night created a format where builders, founders, researchers, and ecosystem teams could connect more naturally and more memorably. It was supported not only by Celestia, but also by ecosystem partners such as LayerZero and others who helped make the gathering larger and more visible. As node101, we designed and executed the entire experience end to end, from the venue logic and event flow to the atmosphere, production, and community-facing structure that turned it into one of the best side events of Devconnect 2023.
Mina zkConnect Istanbul
Mina zkConnect Istanbul was a dedicated ecosystem event built around Mina during the Devconnect period in Istanbul. Hosted at the historic Şerefiye Cistern, a 1,600-year-old museum, the event brought Mina into one of the city’s most visually distinctive venues and created a setting that felt both immersive and ecosystem-specific. It stood out as one of the clearest examples of how a protocol community could be expressed through place, atmosphere, and curated gathering design.
Its strength came from the way it combined ecosystem focus with cultural setting. Rather than functioning like a simple meetup, the event created a more elevated and memorable experience around Mina and the broader zero-knowledge conversation in Istanbul. node101 shaped the local execution layer that made this kind of event possible, helping turn a protocol gathering into a full city-specific experience.
node101 New Year Parties
The node101 New Year Parties transform the year’s end into a special community event to celebrate the new year and reflect on the past one. They reflect the idea that strong ecosystems are not built only through technical programming, but also through recurring rituals that keep people connected over time. As the event calendar around node101 expanded, these seasonal gatherings helped create a stronger sense of identity and continuity across the broader community.
Sui Dinner Nights
Sui Dinner Night was a more intimate ecosystem gathering built around conversation, community, and direct contact. Unlike a larger meetup or summit, it used the format of a dinner to create a calmer and more focused space for builders and ecosystem participants to connect around Sui in a more personal way.
Its value was in the format itself. By bringing people together around a dinner setting, the event made interaction more natural and relationship-driven, giving the local community a stronger social link to the ecosystem. node101 shaped this kind of gathering as part of a broader event philosophy: not every important event needs a stage; some of the strongest ones happen around a table.
